Dato' Meor Abdul Rahman (Silat Gayong)

Dato' Meor Abdul Rahman bin Uda Mohd Hashim was born in 17 ogos 1915 at Kampung Lake Garden, Taiping, Perak. He was the founder of Silat Gayong Malaysia. His mother name Syarifah Aluyah binti Syed Zainal al - Attas. During his marriage life, he was gifted two sons name Meor Abdul Aziz, Meor Abdul Rahman and a daughter name Siti Saadiah.

Dato' Meor Abdul Rahman start his first silat class from his own grandfather name Syed Zainal bin Syed Idris al- Attas when he was about 12 years old.He lives by taking the old Malay warrior as his idol such as Datuk Bahaman, Mat Kilau, and Tok Gajah. He is then fully concentrating on Silat by learn from many others teacher who has unknown identity, which is lead towards the born his own style of silat which is name "Silat Gayong".

There are also a theory of where he defeated the legandary chinese Jeet Kune do User "Bruce Lee". Bruce lee is then respect the ability of Dato' Meor rahman and he also request to learn from him one day. These might also be a factor on why Silat Gayong is well known around Asia for its deadliest self defend arts. There is no hesitation, that Dato' Meor is a legendary Silat user that must be known by all people who learn silat.
